International 75 / ZT Meeting in Holland.

From Friday 03-10-2008 till Sunday 05-10-2008 an international Meeting will take place in the province of Noord-Holland (about 40 km north of Amsterdam)

Central region of the Meeting will be Egmond/Bergen, Hoorn and Krommenie-Assendelft.

Programm:

Arrival Friday 03-10-2008 by 16.00:
Dinner together in the nice restaurant of the hotel.

Saturday 04-10-2008: after breakfast we will go to Hoorn (± 33 km), where we will take at 11.00 the historic steamtram through the nice and tipical countryside of Noord-Holland ( http://www.museumstoomtram.nl/stoomtram/ENGELS/homeEng.html )
About ± 1 hour later we arrive in Medemblik where we continue our trip by steamer with a fantastic saloon-deck along the coast of the lake IJsselmeer. At about 15.15 pm we arrive at the Zuiderzeemuseum in Enkhuizen ( http://www.zuiderzeemuseum.nl/home/?language=en )
At 17.00 pm (at the latest) we will take the train (± 15 minutes) back to Hoorn where the cars are being parked.

Dinner together.

Sunday 05-10-2008: Planned is a puzzle ride with a visit at the Auto-Union Museum ( http://www.autounionmuseum.nl/pages/pagina_1pag.html ) in Bergen ( http://www.visitbergen.nl/english/ ). Here you will see a unique collection of DKW cars, that even cannot be found in Germany anymore and of which the Audi Museum in Ingolstadt is jealous ! Free entrance.
End of this puzzle ride will be by 14.00 at the MG Rover dealer Rovee-Veenis ( http://www.rovee-veenis.nl/ ), where we will be welcomed with bites to eat and a drink. Meanwhile Jan Veenis will inform us about the latest developments about Nanjing and Roewe. Rovee is one of the leading MG Rover dealers in Holland with customers all over the country ( http://www.rovee-veenis.nl/?cat=25 )
End of the Meeting will be at 16.30 – 17.00.



Spending the night (2x)

Bed and breakfast and at least one dinner will be at the Golden Tulip hotel Jan van Scorel
( http://www.goldentulipjanvanscorel.nl/default.aspx?Language=EN ). Special price double bedroom for us: € 99,50 (incl. Breakfast – excl. Parkingcosts 1x € 7,50 and touristtax € 2,00 by person per day)
A culinary three-course menu costs € 29,50 per person and will take place in the nice restaurant of the hotel. The hotel is situated near the dunes and the forest in Schoorl and has a swimming pool, sauna and a Turkish steam bath. Free entrance.
Family rooms or rooms with extra beds are possible as well.
Please book the hotelroom yourself and mention “Rover 75 Meeting” ! The sooner the better so we can all stay in this hotel.

Beste Pim,

Als secretaris van de BCRCB (British Classic & Rover Club Belgium) breng ik zo snel mogelijk onze leden met zo'n type auto op de hoogte van dit evenement.
Organisatorisch maakt het natuurlijk een gans verschil of we het ganse weekend dan wel enkel op zondag komen. Vanuit België lijkt me dit nog net te doen.
